Sujet/Titre
Dynamic Response and Interface Flow Topology of Electrohydrodynamically Controlled Drops (DRIFT)
Descriptif
Research Environment:
The PhD student will be based at CORIA Lab (CNRS, INSA Rouen, France), a leading research center in fluid mechanics and laser diagnostics. The laboratory provides access to state-of-the-art experimental facilities, high-performance computing resources, and an interdisciplinary research environment with strong national and international collaborations.
Project Overview:
The DRIFT project aims to investigate the electrohydrodynamic (EHD) behavior of neutrally buoyant drops under constant electric fields, with a focus on interface dynamics and flow topology. The study will combine high-speed imaging, PIV, and particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) to measure velocity fields inside and outside the drops and analyze drop coalescence and deformation mechanisms.
